Justin has a keen interest in Dental Implants starting in 2004, qualifying in restorative and surgical implant dentistry as well as advanced bone grafting.

Gaining certification in “Invisalign – the invisible braces” has been a most valuable addition to Justin’s skills in cosmetic dentistry. A member of the Australian Academy of Dento-Facial aesthetics, Justin provides extensive services in dermal fillers and wrinkle relaxers.

He is also a member of the Sleep Dentistry Assoc. of Australia, recognising the importance of successfully treating snoring and sleep apnoea.

In his leisure time Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and sailing.

Dr John Watson

Having grown up on a farm near Dongara in WA’s mid-west, John feels a strong connection with the country and country people. This connection led to him working in country practice in Geraldton and Dongara and then Jurien Bay and Wongan Hills for eleven years following his graduation in 1993.

While at Jurien Bay, John studied for his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons gaining admission in 2004. He is currently secretary of the WA regional committee of the college.

After working for two years in the UK, John joined the practice in 2007.

John undertook his first education in Dental Implants began in 1999 and his special interest has continued ever since, qualifying in and gaining extensive experience in bone grafting and the placement and restoration of dental implants.

Also involved in education, John has previously served as an honorary clinical consultant and clinical tutor at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, UWA.

Away from work, John enjoys golf, the West Coast Eagles and family time with his wife and two daughters.

Dr Fernando Afonso

Fernando graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1994 with Dr Justin Float. Since then he has worked almost exclusively in private dental practice in Perth and has owned two very successful dental practices in the northern suburbs of Woodvale and Joondalup.

Although he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, his area of special interest is cosmetic dental treatments and implant dentistry. Fernando completed his initial implant restorative and surgical training through the Branemark Implant Centre in Perth in 2002. He also completed training at the Fahl Institute for Advanced Dental Aesthetics in Brazil in 2007.

Fernando is committed to a high standard of dental care and loves to transform patients’ smiles and self-confidence through minimally invasive procedures such as tooth whitening and aesthetic composite restorations as well as more advanced restorative techniques including ceramic veneers, crowns, bridges and implant-supported restorations.

Fernando believes strongly in the value of continuing dental education and is an active member of the Australian Dental Association. As such he enjoys attending postgraduate courses both in Australia and internationally. He is currently completing the Master Implant Clinician Program jointly run by Loma Linda University (LLU) and the Global Institute for Dental Education (gIDE) in Califronia, USA.

Outside of dentistry, you will find Fernando out on the ocean whenever the opportunity presents itself. He loves boating, diving and is a keen fisherman. He enjoys making the most of Rotto and Perth beaches with his wife and three children.
